Living with Sight Loss
A free two day programme which offers peer support for people living with sight loss, their friends, family and anyone affected by visual impairment.
There is no reading, writing or tests involved as everything is done through discussion and hands on demonstration.
The course is interactive with lots of opportunities to share experiences with others who understand the frustrations of visual impairment.
• Getting out and about
• Practical skills for everyday life
• Meeting new people
• Using technology
• Eye health
• Making the most of leisure time
• Emotional Wellbeing
The course is particularly useful to people who are newly diagnosed or know that their sight will deteriorate significantly with time. It is delivered by a facilitator from RNIB who is severely sight impaired himself and speaks from personal experience about how he deals with sight loss on a day to day basis.
