Meet Our Wonderful Volunteers

Volunteers are at the heart of BucksVision. Every hour they give helps us support blind and partially sighted people to live fuller, more independent lives.

Here are some of their stories, in their own words.

Val's Story

“I first started volunteering after retirement. I wanted something meaningful to do with my time and found BucksVision. The support and training gave me the confidence to help out, and I soon discovered the friendships and joy that come with being part of the team.

It’s not just about what I give, it’s what I get back. I’ve met wonderful people, learned new skills, and had so many rewarding experiences. Volunteering has truly enriched my life.”

Being a volunteer can be for a few hours a month or as much time as you want to give, it is up to you, but well worth the effort, the rewards outweigh the time you give.
